I actually love mousses because they’re so easy to whip up!
You can see my easy coffee mousse here and I also have a beautiful chocolate mousse recipe here.
But today, I’m going to share a 3-ingredient mousse!
Creamy, dreamy, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, this no-bake mousse feels like something you’d order at a charming café on a sunny afternoon.
With just three ingredients and no gelatin, eggs, or baking involved, it’s perfect for beginners, last-minute guests, or anyone who just wants a sweet treat without the fuss.
The fluffy, cloud-like texture and that gorgeous swirl of strawberry puree at the bottom make this dessert as pretty as it is delicious.
I’m adding variations and substitutes at the bottom of the recipe.
Tips to Make It Extra Tasty:
- Use a high-powered blender like the Nutribullet Pro for an extra smooth, whipped texture.
- Use ripe, in-season strawberries for max flavor. If they’re a bit tart, add an extra tablespoon of powdered sugar.
- Make sure your cream is super cold—it whips better and holds the mousse’s structure longer.
- For the fluffiest texture, avoid overmixing after folding in the puree.
- Want a thicker texture? Add 1–2 tbsp cream cheese when whipping the cream.
- Chill the bowl and beaters before whipping for best results, especially in warm weather.
- Serve with cute mini dessert spoons or top with a mint leaf for a professional look.
Let’s get to the recipe!
3-Ingredient Strawberry Mousse (No-Bake)
Course: DessertDifficulty: Easy4

hourIngredients
1 cup fresh strawberries, plus extra for garnish
1/4 cup powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then blend them into a smooth puree using a mini food processor or high-speed blender.
- Set aside 2–3 tablespoons of this puree for the pretty swirl at the bottom of each glass. In a large chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy cream using a hand mixer until soft peaks form, then add the powdered sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks appear.
- Gently fold in the rest of the strawberry puree, mixing just until combined—you want to keep it airy and light. Spoon a tablespoon of reserved puree into the bottom of each serving glass, then carefully pipe or spoon the mousse on top.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving for best texture.
- This is so delicious. My partner asks me to make this once a week!
Variations and Substitutes:
Use frozen strawberries if fresh aren’t available—just thaw them first and drain excess liquid.
Swap strawberries with raspberries, mango, or blueberries for a fruity twist.
For a dairy-free version, try using a plant-based whipping cream (like coconut cream).
Add a splash of vanilla extract or lemon zest to brighten up the flavors.
