Lavender Peach Iced Tea

This is one experiment that turned out right after you guys loved my lavender lemonade.

This drink is sweet, romantic, and totally calming—basically what I imagine a Studio Ghibli picnic in a lavender field would taste like.

I started making this Lavender Peach Iced Tea when I needed a caffeine-free drink to sip on hot afternoons that wouldn’t leave me jittery or sweaty.

Something gentle.

And now, it’s my favorite summer tea. Light enough to drink all day but flavorful enough to feel like a treat.

My partner actually calls this the “calm down tea” because every time one of us is stressed or overheated, we just sit on the balcony, drink this, and somehow everything feels a bit easier.

It’s also the prettiest thing you can serve at brunch, baby showers, or just when you’re trying to get through another 40°C day and need something to make you smile.

It’s made with real ingredients, no weird dyes, and only takes a few minutes to whip up.

A few weeks ago, I covered a butterfly pea coconut milk drink that you might like here.

Tips for Making It More Magical

Getting the balance of flavors and colors just right is key. Here are a few essential tips to keep in mind:

  1. Use culinary-grade dried lavender for the best flavor—regular lavender can taste soapy.
  2. I love this Peach Tea for this—it blends so well with the lavender.
  3. A glass tea pitcher with lid is great for brewing and storing this in the fridge.
  4. Want to make it extra dreamy? Serve in clear tall glasses to show off that soft peach-pink color.

Let’s get to the recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced

  • 2 cups hot water

  • 2 tsp dried culinary lavender

  • 2 bags of caffeine-free peach or hibiscus tea (or use loose-leaf)

  • 2–3 tsp honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)

  • 2 cups cold water

  • Ice cubes

  • Lemon slices or lavender sprigs for garnish

Directions

  • Place the sliced peaches, dried lavender, and tea bags into a large heatproof bowl or pitcher. Pour the hot water over and let it steep for 5–6 minutes. If you’re using loose tea, you can add everything directly or use a reusable infuser. The peaches will soften slightly and infuse the tea with that juicy sweetness while the lavender and herbal tea create a floral, fragrant base.
  • After steeping, remove the tea bags and strain out the lavender and peaches (or leave a few peach slices in for garnish if you like). Stir in the honey or agave while it’s still warm so it dissolves easily. Then, pour in the cold water to chill it down a bit.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour the tea over. Garnish with a fresh peach slice, a little lemon, or even a lavender sprig if you’re feeling aesthetic. Sip slowly and let your brain go quiet.

  • I personally love making this when I want to impress someone – it always works!

Variations and Substitutes:

Use frozen peaches: No fresh peaches? Frozen peach slices work just as well and chill the tea faster.
Make it fizzy: Swap some of the cold water with sparkling water right before serving.
Add a floral boost: A splash of rosewater or orange blossom water (just ¼ tsp) adds elegance.
Turn it into a cocktail: A splash of gin or white wine gives it serious garden party energy.
Different tea base: If you prefer green tea or white tea, just reduce steeping time to avoid bitterness.

This is such a whimsical drink and it’s very refreshing.

I love that it looks like a complicated Pinterest drink, but secretly it’s the easiest thing ever.

Enjoy!
