Pumpkin Spice Sauce (Starbucks Copy)

I am a huge fan of Pumpkin Spice Lattes and I always ask them to make it with double the sauce because I love that pumpkin pie flavor!

So, I thought I’d try this sauce at home!

I’ve written several recipes around this like the pumpkin spice cold brew, a pumpkin spiced milk (for kids) and even a pumpkin spiced chai.

I wanted to try something light and delicious to have after lunch.

This copycat pumpkin spice sauce is creamy, cozy, and loaded with that autumn warmth we all crave.

A spoonful of this sauce in your coffee, latte, or even drizzled over pancakes or oatmeal brings instant fall vibes to your kitchen.

Plus, it’s made with simple ingredients you probably already have on hand.

It’s the kind of recipe that feels fancy but takes five minutes to make.

I’m ending the recipe with variations and substitutes in case you’re missing any ingredients.

Let’s get to it!

Ingredients

  • 400 grams sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling) (make it 3/4th cup if you don’t like the pumpkin flavor too strong)

  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  • 2-3 drops of vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons water

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, water, and a pinch of salt until fully smooth and blended.
  • Make sure no lumps remain, then pour the mixture into a clean jar or airtight bottle. Refrigerate the sauce for up to 2 weeks, giving it a good stir before each use.
  • To serve, add 1–2 tablespoons to your coffee, latte, or even hot chocolate, stir, and enjoy that pumpkin spice magic.

  • I personally love this when I’m craving something pumpkin and sweet!

Substitutions and Add-Ins:

You can replace sweetened condensed milk with coconut condensed milk for a dairy-free version. For less sweetness, reduce the amount of condensed milk and add a splash of heavy cream or half-and-half. If you like a bolder pumpkin flavor, increase the puree to ¾ cup. This sauce also doubles as a drizzle over waffles, oatmeal, and even vanilla ice cream.

This recipe is enough for 10-12 drinks.

I hope you love this Starbucks sauce recipe as much as I did.

Once you try it, you may never need to buy a pumpkin spice latte again—you’ll be making your own right at home, and it’ll taste even better.
